Broderick AdamsWhy We Love This Recipe
This dish is the definition of simple, cozy comfort — and with the recent release of our Umami Seasoning blend, we wanted to share one of Jason’s (the owner’s) favorite ways to use it.
What is "umami?" We covered the "umami" flavor in another blog post if you'd like to learn more. Check that out here.
The savory depth from our mushroom-forward blend makes this rice incredibly flavorful while staying minimal, fast, and budget-friendly. It also serves as a wonderful natural alternative to MSG, delivering many of the same rich, savory notes without additives.
This recipe is very approachable for all cooking levels and makes an easy, low-cost meal for college students, busy families, or anyone who needs something warm and delicious in a pinch. A cup of rice + a sprinkle of seasoning = a surprisingly gourmet-tasting bowl of comfort.
It’s nourishing, satisfying, and endlessly customizable — a pantry-friendly staple you’ll want to make again and again.
